In 2001, I relocated from Seattle/WA to Toulouse/France, after having commuted at least once a month for about a year. I persuaded my employer to rent a great top-floor apartment for me. It is located right on the Garonne river, overlooking the "Bazacle" dam and the historic center. A mere 15 minutes walk to "Place du Capitole" town square.

High water during the spring. Noise like a continuous freight train passing!

You can almost walk across during a hot summer

In August of 2007, I moved out of this rental apartment to a new penthouse apartment that I had bought mid-2006, about 2 km downriver.

Downstairs: kitchen with small terrace, living/dining, 1 bedroom + bathroom

Upstairs: 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, office den, mezzanine, loft overlooking the living room
